Data Sources & Licensing

Source attribution, licensing terms, and commercial re-use conditions · Last updated: 15 February 2026

Overview

FeedOracle aggregates data from public institutions, open-source protocols, and third-party providers to deliver evidence-grade data infrastructure. This page documents all upstream data sources, their respective licenses, and conditions for commercial re-use through FeedOracle's API.

FeedOracle operates from Germany (EU) and complies with applicable data re-use regulations including the EU Open Data Directive (2019/1024) where relevant.

Public Institutional Sources

The following data originates from public institutions and is available under open or public-domain terms. Commercial re-use through FeedOracle's API is permitted under our subscription terms.

Commercial Re-Use Conditions

Data accessed through FeedOracle's API may be used commercially under the following conditions:

  • Subscription required. All commercial use requires an active FeedOracle API subscription (Free, Starter, Pro, or Enterprise tier).
  • Attribution. When displaying FeedOracle data to end users, include "Data: FeedOracle" or equivalent attribution. Upstream source attribution (e.g., "ECB", "FRED") is encouraged but handled by FeedOracle's API responses.
  • No raw redistribution. Bulk redistribution of raw API data as a competing data service is not permitted. Value-added products and integrations are expressly permitted.
  • Evidence integrity. Do not modify or strip cryptographic evidence metadata (signatures, hashes) from API responses when forwarding to downstream consumers.
  • Regulatory disclaimer. FeedOracle provides data infrastructure, not legal advice, compliance certification, or investment recommendations. Users remain solely responsible for regulatory compliance decisions.

Data Accuracy & Disclaimer

FeedOracle aggregates and processes data from the sources listed above with reasonable care. However:

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of upstream data sources.
  • MiCA compliance status determinations are based on publicly available register data and do not constitute legal certification.
  • Carbon emission data is derived from published research and institutional estimates; actual emissions may vary.
  • All data is provided "as is" for informational purposes. See our Terms of Service for full liability terms.

Subprocessor Register

As referenced in our Privacy Policy, FeedOracle uses the following infrastructure subprocessors:

  • Hosting: Contabo GmbH (Munich, Germany) — primary infrastructure
  • Payments: Stripe, Inc. (fiat) · XRPL (crypto)
  • Blockchain Anchoring: XRP Ledger (active)
  • Monitoring: Uptime Kuma (self-hosted)

No personal data is transmitted to upstream data sources. API key hashes are stored for authentication purposes only.
